The cookies and browser storage WordMakePress uses: strictly necessary items that are always on, analytics only if you opt in, and no marketing cookies.

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage we use on https://wordmakepress.com, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Your browser sends them back to the site as you use it, which is how the site knows, for example, that you're signed in.
Local storage is a browser feature that lets a website save information on your device. Unlike a cookie, it isn't sent to the website with every request. It stays in your browser until the site removes it or you clear it.
The same privacy rules apply to both, so in this policy "cookies" covers cookies and local storage.
2. The cookies we use
We use two kinds:
- Strictly necessary: needed for the site to work, so they're always on.
- Analytics: off unless you opt in.
We don't use marketing or advertising cookies.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work and keep it secure: they keep you signed in, hold your cart, remember the budget you set, protect the site against fraud and misuse, and store your cookie choice. Because the site can't work properly without them, the law allows us to use them without asking for consent. We don't use them to track you or to show you ads.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
wmp_consent | Local storage | Stores your cookie choice, so we don't ask on every visit | 12 months, then we ask again |
wmp_cart | Local storage | Remembers the products in your cart | Until cleared, for example when you empty your cart or clear your browser data |
wmp_budget | Local storage | Remembers the budget you set, so prices show whether they fit it | Until cleared, for example when you clear your browser data |
| Session cookie | Cookie | Keeps you securely signed in to your account | Set only when you sign in. Expires when you sign out or after 30 days |
| Security cookie | Cookie | Helps protect sign-in, checkout and our forms against fraud and misuse | Expires when you close your browser |
When online payments are enabled, Stripe may also use its own strictly necessary cookies or similar technology on its hosted payment step to process the payment securely, authenticate the payer and help prevent fraud. Those technologies are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
4. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies are off unless you opt in. If you do, they help us understand how the site is used, such as which pages people visit and how they move between them. We look only at aggregate statistics, and we use them to improve the site, not to identify you or show you ads.
Before we turn analytics on, we'll update this policy and Cookie settings to name the analytics provider and the cookies it sets, so you can see them before you decide. If you don't opt in, no analytics cookies are set.
5. Marketing cookies
We don't use any. If we ever add them, we'll update this policy first and only use them if you opt in.
6. Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Select Cookie settings in the footer of any page and update your choice. The change applies from then on and doesn't affect anything collected before you made it.
7. Controlling cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and other site data, for all websites or just for one. Look for "cookies" or "site data" in your browser's settings or help pages.
Keep in mind:
- if you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in, checkout and your cart may not work;
- if you clear your browser data for our site, you'll be signed out, your cart will be emptied, and we'll ask for your cookie choice again.
8. More information
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data more generally. If you have questions about cookies, email privacy@
We'll update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
