You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or send you a copy. This page explains your rights, how to make a request and what happens next. Our privacy policy describes what data we collect and why.

1. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you and explain how we use it (access);
  • correct data that's wrong or incomplete (rectification);
  • delete your data (erasure). We may have to keep some records, such as invoices, for as long as tax law requires;
  • limit how we use your data, for example while we check whether it's accurate (restriction);
  • send you the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format, or send it to another company where that's technically possible (portability);
  • stop using your data where we rely on our legitimate interests (objection). If you object to marketing, we always stop.

You can also withdraw your consent at any time: for analytics cookies, through Cookie settings in the footer; for marketing email, through the unsubscribe link in any message.

We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

2. What to include in your request

To help us respond quickly, tell us:

  • your name and the email address you use with us, for your account or your orders;
  • which right you want to use and what you'd like us to do;
  • anything that helps us find the right data, such as order numbers or the details you want corrected;
  • if you're asking for someone else, their name and proof that they've authorized you to act for them.

3. How we confirm it's you

Before we act on a request, we make sure it comes from the person the data is about, so that we never hand your data to someone else. Usually, it's enough for you to confirm the request from the email address linked to your account or orders. If that isn't possible, we may ask for other information, but only what we need to confirm your identity. If we do need more information, we'll ask for it promptly.

4. How long it takes

We reply within one month of receiving your request. If a request is complex, or you've sent us several, we may extend this by up to two more months. If we need the extra time, we'll tell you within the first month and explain why.

If we can't do what you've asked, for example because tax law requires us to keep certain records, we'll explain why within one month. We'll also tell you about your right to complain to a data protection authority and to go to court.

5. What it costs

Making a request is free. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, for example the same request repeated many times without good reason, we may charge a reasonable fee based on our administrative costs, or refuse it. If we do, we'll explain why. We may also charge a reasonable fee for extra copies of your data.

6. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data or your request, please tell us at privacy@wordmakepress.com so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP), Bulgaria, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
