These license terms explain what you can and can't do with the digital design products you buy from WordMakePress. They're part of our terms of use. If you're not sure whether your project is covered, ask us at sales@wordmakepress.com before you start.

In brief

  • Every purchase includes the Standard license at no extra cost.
  • A Standard license covers one person. You can use the product in as many personal and commercial projects as you like, including work for clients.
  • You can edit, combine and adapt the assets inside the things you make.
  • You can't resell, share or give away the files themselves, whether as they are or modified.
  • If an asset is the main value of something you sell, such as print-on-demand merchandise or a template you resell, you need an Extended license.
  • Team and Extended licenses are quoted on request at sales@wordmakepress.com.

This summary doesn't replace the full terms below.

1. Definitions

  • We, us and our mean Fin Boutique LLC (“Фин Бутик” ЕООД), which runs WordMakePress.
  • You means the person or organization that buys a license. If you buy for an organization, the organization holds the license.
  • Product means a digital design product sold on https://wordmakepress.com, including every file in its download and any updates to it.
  • Asset means any individual item in a product, such as an icon, component, template, illustration, mockup, chart or animation.
  • Source files means the files we deliver, in any format, and any copy or edited version of them that someone else could still use as a design file.
  • End product means something you create using one or more assets together with your own work, such as a website, app, presentation, marketing material, social media post, printed piece or video.
  • Item for sale means a physical or digital product that you sell to customers, such as merchandise, printed goods, templates or themes.
  • Seat means one person who may use a product under a license.
  • Client means a person or organization you create an end product for.

2. The Standard license

Every purchase includes the Standard license at no extra cost. It gives you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable and perpetual right to use the product's assets as these terms describe.

One seat. The Standard license covers one person, who may keep copies of the files on the devices they use. If more people need to use the product, each of them needs their own license, or your organization can get a Team license (section 4).

Personal and commercial projects. You can use the assets in an unlimited number of personal and commercial projects.

Client work. You can create end products for clients and deliver the finished work to them: for example, websites, apps, presentations, marketing materials, social media posts and print. Your client may use and update the finished end product. If a client wants the source files so they can reuse the assets in other work, they need their own license.

Modifications. You can modify, combine and adapt the assets inside your end products. Edited assets are still covered by these terms, so the restrictions in section 3 apply to modified versions too.

3. What the Standard license doesn't allow

You may not:

  1. Redistribute the source files. Don't resell, share, sublicense or redistribute them, on their own or modified, or as part of templates, kits, themes, stock collections or marketplaces.
  2. Make the files available for others to download or extract. For example, don't put them in a public code repository, a shared drive or a download link, or in an end product that lets people export the original files. Using assets inside an end product in the normal way, such as icons shown on a live website or in an app, is fine.
  3. Use assets as the main value of an item for sale. Print-on-demand merchandise and resold templates are typical examples. These need an Extended license (section 5).
  4. Claim exclusive rights in a logo template. Logo templates and marks are non-exclusive, so other customers can buy and use the same template. You may use one as the basis for your logo, but you may not claim exclusive rights in an unmodified template or register it as a trademark. If you plan to register a logo based on one of our templates, modify it first and consider getting advice from a trademark professional.
  5. Use assets in unlawful, defamatory or hateful content.
  6. Use assets in training datasets offered for resale. Don't include assets in datasets, for example for training machine-learning or AI models, that are sold or offered for resale.
  7. Share one license between several people. Each person who uses a product needs a seat.

4. Team license

A Team license gives several seats inside one organization. Each seat has the same permissions and restrictions as a Standard license. You get one invoice for the whole team, and we accept purchase orders.

Team licenses are quoted on request. Write to sales@wordmakepress.com with the products you need and the number of seats.

5. Extended license

An Extended license is for items you sell where the asset is a significant part of their value, such as:

  • merchandise and print-on-demand products;
  • products or templates sold to many end users;
  • large broadcast or print runs.

Extended licenses are quoted on request. Write to sales@wordmakepress.com and tell us what you plan to make and how you'll sell it. Your quote sets out exactly what the Extended license covers. Unless the quote says otherwise, the rest of these terms still apply.

6. How long your license lasts

Your license is perpetual for the version you bought and its updates. It doesn't expire, as long as you follow these terms.

Your license ends if:

  • you break these license terms; or
  • the product is refunded, including through a reversed payment (chargeback).

When your license ends, you must stop using the product's assets and delete all copies of its files.

7. Who owns what

We, or our licensors, keep ownership of the products and all intellectual property rights in them, including copyright. You get a license to use them, not ownership. You own the original work you add to your end products, but not the assets inside them.

Some products may be designed to work with fonts, plug-ins or other resources that aren't part of the download. This license covers only the files we deliver. Other resources come with their own terms.

8. Updates

Where a product receives updates, updates to a product you've bought are free and covered by the same license. We don't promise that every product will be updated.

9. Warranty disclaimer

We confirm that we have the right to grant the licenses described here. Our refund policy covers files that are faulty, materially different from their description, or don't work with software listed as supported.

Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, products are provided "as is", without other promises. In particular, we don't promise that a product will suit your particular purpose, or that a design built from it, such as a logo, can be registered or won't conflict with marks or designs that others use in your market.

If you're a consumer, you keep the rights the law gives you, and nothing here limits them. Our liability is covered in section 12 of our terms of use.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these license terms. The license terms in force when you bought a product continue to apply to that purchase.

11. Questions and quotes
